Question:Does it shut off when it reaches a set temperature?
Answer:This air conditioner has a 5° F temperature cushion; if the set temperature is within 5 ° F of the ambient temperature, the fan will switch to low speed and run approximately 5 minutes before it shuts off. The fan will activate again in approximately 15 minutes and run for 1 minute to circulate air in the room and detect the ambient room temperature. If the room temperature is higher than 5° F of the set temperature, the compressor will turn on and the fan will run in the set speed.
Question:How does water removal work?
Answer:There is a small, short drain hose/spigot with a drain plug. You will have to find a small container to fit under the spigot to drain the water. I live in a humid environment and it accumulates about 3 cups of water every 90 mins. The unit will then stop and a warning light comes on to tell me to drain the water that accumulates.
Question:What is the internal diameter for a proper fit drain hose?
Answer:The proper answer is a 1/2 hose.
